Team Chronomaster are starting the 2015 racing season in style. This year there will be a series of co-sponsors which will enable the team to develop and grow in strength. One of the co sponsors joining forces is LeisureLakes bikes in Bury. They are a family run business established over 34 years ago by four brothers with a great passion for the outdoors and they have 8 shops nationwide. In joining forces with LeisureLakes Bikes, Team Chronomaster will be racing on team bikes that have been supplied in conjunction with one of the world’s leading bike manufacturers, Specialized. The model is a lightweight carbon fibre bike built for speed, power and road handling, and is similar to the models used by professional cyclists in all of the grand tours. In addition to the bikes, Specialized and LeisureLakes have provided matching team helmets, cycle shoes, gloves and socks that will be worn with newly designed shorts and jerseys incorporating the new sponsors logos.
The deal with Team Chronomaster demonstrates the success of this Bolton based team who have made a big impact on the North West racing scene over the last 12 months. The team principle, Neil Wood from Chronomaster Ltd, says that “We are delighted to be working with LeisureLakes Bikes. With the new team bikes and kit, it’s a show of strength for our rapidly growing team, and will motivate and encourage us to build upon our successes”
The team collected the new bikes and kit from the Bury store earlier in the week, where they were handed over by Mark Noy, one of the four directors at LeisureLakes Bikes. Mark stated that “Having a sponsored team on the local racing circuit makes good commercial sense and is a great opportunity to be involved with cycling development, which is rapidly becoming one of the most popular sports in the UK”
The team will be out in force for the first road race of the season in March, which is the Clayton Spring Classic, near Clitheroe. They will be battling it out for points in what is set to be an exciting racing season ahead.
